CANDLE CARE
To ensure a safe and enjoyable candle burning experience, please follow these guidelines.
-
During your first candle burn, make sure that the "melt pool" reaches the full diameter of the candle jar. This prevents the wax from building up and possibly tunneling during future use.
-
Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours. We recommend burning cycles of 2-3 hours. This maximizes an even burn and help maintain the appropriate fragrance throw.
-
If the flame seems high or the container is too hot in the midst of burning, simply extinguish the flame, let it cool down, trim the wick and restart!
-
Expect a crackle each time you burn your candle, we use cracking wooden wick.
-
Make sure to trim your wick in between burns where the wood naturally breaks off. This will prevent sooting. You can trim the wick by gently pinching the burnt bits off with your fingers when the candle is completely cooled, or grab a wick trimmer or use nail clippers to get a close cut!.
-
If you experience sooting after you burn your candle, simply dampen a towel or cloth with water and wipe the surface clean.
-
Never leave a candle burning unattended or within reach of a draft, pets, or small children.
-
Once you've burned through your candle, clean out any remaining wax with hot water, then remove the wick and wick clip. Once clean, reuse the glass jar however you'd like.
